La Fée is a French absinthe which was re-introduced to the world in July of 2000 in London, UK. Since the launch, La Fée Parisienne has steadily grown to be sold in over twenty different countries and was introduced in the United States in June of 2008.
La Fée is a 136 Proof Absinthe (68% ABV) and shows as a bright green spirit with a suggested retail price of USD $60.00. Each bottle includes a traditional absinthe spoon.
La Fée was brought to life by George Rowley of Green Utopia Ltd. who worked diligently since 1998 to understand all there was to know about Absinthe and its rich history. George Rowley worked closely with Marie-Claude Delahaye, world-expert and absinthe historian, and together they recreated the first traditional absinthe to be distilled in France since the 1915 ban.
“For our first project I worked behind closed doors with the French Absinthe museum, Marie-Claude Delahaye and a Parisian distillery that historically produced absinthe prior to the 1915 ban. After many months of exhaustive research we were able to produce the first commercial French absinthe since the ban. La Fée Absinthe Parisienne was distilled using traditional methods and a fine balance of wormwood, anis and other fine herbs.”1)
