Jose Cuervo Tequila is one of the most recognized brands of Tequila in the world also boasting some of the biggest sales of any tequila brands. José Cuervo Especial (“Cuervo Gold”) is their most recognized style of tequila, although it's a mixto which does not contain 100% de Agave; a mixto contains 51% agave, leaving the rest of the liquid to be created with corn/sugar cane (most commonly) or other sugars used to create the alcohol during fermentation. Caution should be taken when consuming a mixto tequila as headaches are a known result when drinking in excess.
