Vodka Martini's are often considered not martini's at all, because they do not utilize a core Gin ingredient. Typically, the vodka martini will be a combination of vodka and vermouth which holds very little flavor.

To add flavor to an otherwise “boring” drink, some vodka martini's are sweetened with infused vodkas or other sweet adjuncts. A few good examples: Crazy Cow Martini and the Mint Chocolate Chip Martini.
